Take a captivating journey of discovery with the Barnum Museum’s documentary, “Uncovering the Secrets of an Egyptian Mummy and Coffin: The Quest to Restore Personhood.”  This 30-minute film tells the story of “Ipy’s mummy” and “Pa-en-bes’ coffin”, uncovering the secrets hidden within hieroglyphs, inscriptions, and facial reconstruction.  With the help of CT scans and forensic artistry, the mummy’s identity is revealed.  Expert insights and meticulous detail make this film an enthralling experience for history buffs, ancient civilization enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the mysteries of the past.  Come join the museum in celebrating ancient history and the specialists who dedicate themselves to revealing its secrets.


ADRIENNE SAINT PIERRE, Barnum Museum curator since 2010, Adrienne was the project director of the Museum’s mummy research and investigation.  Adrienne is an award-winning and impassioned Museum professional who has created numerous outstanding exhibitions and programs during her career.  Focusing on nineteenth century history, humanities and material culture, “Secrets of an Egyptian Mummy” is her first major shift into digital content development and creation.

The Barnum Museum Digital Specialist Team!  Joining the Barnum Museum during the onset of Covid-19, Rui Pinho and Will Sarris continue to create vibrant digital programming for the Museum’s thriving YouTube Channel.  Their mindful and creative work is transforming the Barnum Museum and introducing new and innovative ways to fulfil our instructive entertainment mission.
