“I’m thrilled to see substantial federal resources going towards the preservation of P.T. Barnum’s legacy, one of Connecticut’s most colorful figures,” said Congressman Jim Himes. “This $500,000 investment will ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the Greatest Show on Earth. The museums’ thousands of artifacts and extensive digital collection inspire awe and curiosity in visitors of all ages. I look forward to continuing to support the Barnum Museum’s conservation of important Connecticut history.
