 “Uncovering the Secrets of an Egyptian Mummy and Coffin: The Quest to Restore Personhood.”

The Barnum Museum is thrilled to announce that it is the proud recipient of FOUR prestigious TELLY AWARDS for excellence in video and television and for outstanding contributions in Documentary, and Museum & Gallery Social Video categories. The videos are recognized for artistic, educational, and technical excellence, and acknowledged by industry leaders for outstanding creative achievement.

This 30-minute film tells the story of “Ipy’s mummy” and Pa-en-bes’ coffin, sharing the secrets hidden within hieroglyphs, inscriptions, and facial reconstruction. With the help of CT scans and forensic artistry, the mummy’s identity and more surprises are revealed. Expert insights and meticulous detail make this film an enthralling experience for history buffs, ancient civilization enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the mysteries of the past.

A Q&A with the filmmakers, Rui Pinho and Will Sarris, Barnum Museum Curator Emeritus Adrienne Saint Pierre and Executive Director Kathy Maher will take place immediately after the film.
